Thermochromic inks

For this project, I worked with smart textile technology with the purpose of creating interactive pieces, where the participant explores the possibilities of the work by touch. I used thermochromic inks tat either disappear or change colours when they comes in touch with heat.

I began testing the ink on various fabrics with different surface qualities and screenprinting techniques, such as sublimation, digital print. I later tried adding the thermo inks on resin to see how it will react together with other materials.  Finally, I ended up using thermochromic inks as you can see below and experimented with heaters and natural touch. 
The inks used are sourced by SFXC.
